Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hired ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Hired is a job search pipeline tracker that helps you manage job opportunities, positions, interviews, and offers. Some features require a paid subscription.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or delete it.

You must sign in with a Google account via Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under it. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, including storage of CV content that you subsequently upload or save while signed in.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Free plan: Core features with usage limits
  • Basic and Premium plans: Additional features billed monthly or yearly via Stripe
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period
  • Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service (opportunities, notes, uploaded files, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this data solely to provide the Service.

6. CV/Resume Data

  • Anonymous CV analysis processes your uploaded CV for the request but does not store the raw CV or a verbatim structured copy.
  • After registration, a CV you upload or save is stored with its encrypted file, complete extracted source text, lossless sections, structured fields, and source references so that the CV editor can work without rewriting the original.
  • Your CV is used solely to generate personalized interview preparation, resume optimization, and career advice within the Service.
  • Your CV is never shared with, sold to, or made accessible to third parties.
  • CV text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing only; it is not retained or used for training.
  • You can delete your CV at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
  • When you delete your account, all CV data (files and extracted text) is permanently removed.

7. AI-Generated Content

Interview prep, resume optimization, and position search results are generated using AI and are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

8. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' data
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
  • Circumvent usage limits or access controls

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete Account. Account deletion permanently removes all your data including CV files.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Copyright Complaints (DMCA)

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that material stored on the Service infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; (3) identification of the material you claim is infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it; (4) your name, address, telephone number and email address; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and (6) a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Counter-notice. If material you posted was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the designated agent that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal; (3) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification; and (4) your name, address and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent. We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive a valid counter-notice, unless the person who sent the original notice tells us that they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers. We will, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.

Please note that under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages.
